The MIT Admissions announces the release of Early Action (EA) admissions decisions for the Class of 2029. Nearly 12,053 students applied early to the MIT Class of 2029, and 721 students were offered admission. There has been a huge number of deferrals (7486 applicants) whose applications were reviewed during the Regular Decision application cycle. MIT offers an Early Action (EA) application option, which is non-binding, for which the acceptance rate was 5.98%. This marks an increase from the previous year’s EA acceptance rate of 5.26%. In the Regular Action (RA), the acceptance rate stood at 3.50%, which is a decrease from the prior year’s RA acceptance rate of 3.92%.
