THREE-WEEK PROGRAMS
BLI’s three-week courses offer students a chance to delve deep into specialized subjects and acquire valuable research experience in their desired field. Students can aspire to develop research skills that will be critical for future internships, research roles, and admission to prestigious colleges. The application process is online, and the student has to submit their current GPA to showcase their track record of academic success.
There is an essay that applicants are required to write.

One-week programs for pre-high school students
The Chemistry of Cooking:
Session 1: June 24–28, 2024 | Wellesley

Cooking is not magic. It is science, and students learn the science behind combining a few ingredients to result in delicious dishes. They learn about creating a recipe and bringing up compounds to create a final product. This program familiarizes students with chemistry and the possibilities of careers in the discipline.
Mini Med School:

Starting with some basic understanding of medicine, like learning about routine check-ups and how patients’ reflexes are tested, this program moves on to specific specialties, starting with neuroscience and gradually covering orthopedics, oncology, genetic diseases, and more. This high-demand program promises to be hands-on and exciting.
Pet-Med

If you love animals and want to understand the career of a veterinarian, this program is for you. Students get a chance to practice conducting annual check-ups and vaccinations of cats and dogs, as well as learning how to analyze imaging from X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans. Practical skills like diagnosing and treating injuries and illnesses in pets are taught through various hands-on activities.
Under the sea

Perfect for students interested in marine biology, marine life conservation, oceanography, and eco-tourism. Through various hands-on activities, they get a chance to understand the reasons for natural disasters, deep-sea creatures, how submarines evolved, how to grow coral reefs, etc.
The Science of Illusions:

This program explores the misdirection, distraction, and optical illusion that results in magic. At the end of the program, students will put on a magic show that digs into the science at play. So wear your magic hat, take out your wand, and get set to become the next David Copperfield.
Crime Lab

Are you interested in solving murder mysteries? Do you spend hours reading detective stories or watching crime-solving series? This unique program will show students how fingerprints, fibers, hairs, and casting models are analyzed. The crime lab activities involve a lot of scientific discipline and teach lab skills to the children.
Junior Shark Tank

How do business ideas see the light of day? How is a business plan created? What does it take to become a successful pitcher? The Junior Shark Tank program teaches students everything from creating a business plan to making a presentation and eventually pitching to a group of investors.
