The admission rate has reached an all-time low of 12.6%, with just over 5,000 students offered admission from a record pool of 39,681 applicants. In contrast, the Class of 2028 had 35,475 applicants and admitted 5,200 students, resulting in an acceptance rate of 14.7%, compared to the Class of 2027 with a 15.1% acceptance rate (5,511 admits out of 36,525 applicants), and the Class of 2026 with a 16.5% rate (6,678 admits from 40,477 applications).
Referring to the previous year’s statistics, it is apparent that the admission rates have been consistently on the decline. We can attribute it to an increase in the number of students who are considering this College due to its rising popularity as well as increased selectivity. The college offers ED 1 and ED 2, thereby giving students a chance to commit to the college. Important to note that the ED rounds certainly have a much higher acceptance rate, which makes it important for students to make an informed decision if seeking admission in BC. It needs to be an unequivocal first choice for the student and family.
